On Automatic
Release status

Release notes from the map room.

Campaigns on Automatic ships the same way as its siblings: continuous early-access desktop builds, mirrored as a public release. The first one has not published yet — this page is where it lands.

Continuous early access builds

Desktop builds for Windows, macOS and Linux will be mirrored as the campaigns-continuous public release, exactly like Dungeons and Hexes. The cards below light up on their own the moment the first build publishes — no announcement required.

Until then, the app runs from source in the family's development monorepo, and every view on the tour page is a current screenshot.

Where the app stands

  • Reading is done first and deepest. The app opens whole vaults, tolerates incomplete ones, and renders the dashboard, atlas, notes, relationship map, quest and commission boards, search, timeline, health and problems views.
  • The write lanes are deliberately few: the player-safe player/ export, one-click reveals, the campaign clock, faction goal checkmarks, and minting tonight's session note. Every one is a compare-and-swap edit that fails closed.
  • When builds ship they will be unsigned, like the rest of the family's early access — expect the once-per-download first-launch challenge from your OS, with the same steps the Hexes releases page documents.
  • Questions and requests go to the family's public tracker — say it's Campaigns.
